Tools to Protect You from Identity Theft

So here you are, all ready to travel, ready for that vacation, ready to get away. You have planned for this vacation, dreamed about this vacation, convinced your wife that this was the best of the best of vacation ideas. Kids are excited, the dog not so much, but the wife, she is really beaming. You and the entire family are ready for this vacation. Where are you going again? Jamaica? Cayman Islands? Does it really matter? You are on your way to that long awaited vacation.

So your bags are all packed. Sunscreen, shorts, bathing suits, passports, extra cash, you are ready. But are you truly ready? Are you forgetting something extremely crucial? Did you stop long enough to ask yourself about security?

One of the most prominent and present dangers to personal security is identity theft. Skimmers placed on ATMs, hackers at local WiFi hot spots, and more. The worst part of it all is the thieves are becoming increasingly more crafty. Their actions are becoming more covert as opposed to the overt methods of the past. Card skimming devices have become so portable that and identify thief can carry it in a backpack. All the identity thief has to do is walk past you, close enough  for the skimmer in the backpack to sense the credit card in your purse or wallet. That's all it takes. Just that quick, and your credit card information is now in the hands of someone who does not have your best interest at heart.

These identify thieves frequent areas where there is abundance of tourist. Most tourist are not scanning the area for possible security threats, they are more interested in that great deal from that street vendor, or getting to the next scheduled attraction. Indeed, for most tourist, the last thing on the mind is some sneaky home bred spy out to steal their precious identity.

So how can you protect yourself and your family from identity theft? Well, perhaps you can consider the

A Serious Matter Unrelated To Travel

Hello friends and followers. In our wonderful nation of America, we are plagued with a virus that threatens to undermine our very existence. This virus is that of child predators and molesters. It is time something was done about it.

Within the past 10 days preceding the writing of this blog entry, the city of Orange Park Fl, and indeed the entire Florida First Coast was rocked by the revelation that 7 year old Somer Thompson was kidnapped, murdered, and tossed into a dumpster as if she was nothing more than yesterday's garbage. Her body was discovered in a landfill in South East Georgia, and was so badly assaulted and other wise disfigured that the medical examiner will not allow her mother to see the body. Somer is but one of many children who have met similar fates. Children like Christopher Barrios, who was kidnapped, raped and murdered by his neighbors, and left on the side of the rode in a black garbage bag. The list can go on, and on, and on, but I think you get the picture.

The problem is, for a nation who has armed forces committed to places overseas fighting the war against terrorism, we can not seem to prevent our very own children from being terrorized by sexual predators. I don't know about you, but I for one am sick and tired of innocent children becoming victims of sexual deviants who get a kid out of hurting kids.

Recently, a group of concerned mothers banded together to form Mothers Againt Predators, a grass roots organization dedicated to raising awareness of the dangers that threaten our children, with a drive to end the attacks of sexual predators. Although this efforts began in Florida, we are hoping that - like Mothers Against Drunk Drivers - this effort will take root across the country. I applaud the ladies who are taking this stand against sexual predators and child molesters.

IrSabio Travel Consultants has reached out to the founders of Mothers Against Predators to offer any assistance we may. Be it in the form of providing methods to assist with fund raising, through financial contributions, or other means. IrSabio Travel Consultants is fully committed to the success of Mothers Against Predators. We encourage you to assist this organization as well. One way that you can assist is simply by you doing what you are doing presently, booking your travel through IrSabio Travel Consultants at http://www.irsabio.com. Beginning November 1, 2009 through February 28, 2010, IrSabio Travel Consultants will donate 25% of all earned commissions to Mothers Against Predators. These donations will be in addition to any other forms of support IrSabio Travel Consultants provides.

So feel good about booking your travel with IrSabio Travel Consultants, and know that the hotel, flight, cruise, or other vacation you book and take between November 1, 2009 and February 28, 2010 is helping to fund efforts that ensure our children are safe from the dangers of Sexual Predators. Remember the children are our future. Let's keep them well so they can grow up and lead the way.
