This Ruby Is Ever Lasting

It has often been said that Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend. There is truth to that statement, but in the absence of diamonds, other precious gems will do the trick as well. I see that you agree. So, with the prevailing thought in mind, please allow us to tell you a little bit about the Ruby Princess cruise ship.

Built and christened in 2008, The Ruby Princess is one of the latest additions to the fine line of Cruise Ship belonging to Princess Cruise Lines, and boy is she a beauty. So, what can we tell you about The Ruby Princess? Check this out...

Special Suite Amenities: Luxury balcony furniture, deluxe canapes, fresh flowers, DVD library, one complimentary mini bar set up, complementary use of the Lotus Spa Thermal Suite, and laundry and dry cleaning services.

Pretty nice accommodations, wouldn't you say? So, now that we can check sleeping off the list, how about we take a look at some of what The Ruby Princess has to offer? Such as dining in:

The DaVinci Dining Room - Fiesta Deck: One of three main dining rooms on board, featuring intimate seating arrangements and elegant decor.

The Michelangelo Dining Room - Plaza Deck: One of three main dining rooms on board, featuring intimate seating arrangements and elegant decor.

Sabatini's - Sun Deck: Upscale Italian alternative restaurant featuring an eight-course extravaganza of seafood specialties and other trattoria favorites served up with true flair in dramatic top-deck setting. Features bird-eye ocean views and open-air dining.

Just to name a few dining options. Now where is that check list, ah here it is. Dining is checked off the list. What's that? You feel like a movie or live entertainment? Ok, how about....

The Princess Theater located on the Promenade and Fiesta decks? Or perhaps:

Movies Under The Stars - Sun and Sky Decks: Overlooking the Calypso pool, this outdoor area is perfect for daytime relaxing and has a bird's eye view of the 300-square-foot "Movies Under the Stars" LED screen.

Of course, if movies and shows are not your thing, you can always visit the Gatsby Casino located on the Fiesta Deck for the latest in Las Vegas-style casino games, including popular table games and more than 260 slot machines.

For those who simply want to "Drop It Like It's Hot" can visit Skywalkers Nightclub located on the Sky Deck for a spectacular observation lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows. After dark, it is transformed into a lively nightclub with state-of-the-art lighting, sound and video effects.

These are but a few examples of things to do while cruising on the Ruby Princess, and there is so much more. Why there is even the Heart sand Minds Wedding Chapel located on the Sun Deck for an intimate wedding chapel used for Princess' wedding-at-sea program and for renewal-of-vows ceremonies, featuring unique Internet "wedding cam" capabilities.

Ok, things to do? Check. What's next? Oh, that's right. You want to know where the Ruby Princess will be going. What if I told you such exotic destinations as:

Saint Maarten USVI: With an area of only 37 square miles, the island of St. Maarten/St. Martin is the smallest land mass in the world to be divided between two governments. Its dual owners are the Dutch and the French, who have shared the tiny and paradisical island more or less peacefully for almost 350 years. This understated absence of conflict testifies to one of the island's most precious and attractive characteristics--its unusual serenity.

St. Thomas USVI: Charlotte Amalie, capital and chief port of the Virgin Islands of the United States, on Saint Thomas Harbor, southern Saint Thomas Island. Rum, bay rum, woolens, jewelry, and sugar are exported. Local industries include boatbuilding, rum and alcohol distilling, and the production of handicrafts. A picturesque town built on three hills, Charlotte Amalie is a free port and a major tourist resort. Of special interest are Fort Christian, built in 1671; Beretta, the shopping area; and the Frenchtown section.

Grand Turk, Caicos: Grand Turk is the seat of government for the Turks and Caicos Islands, is a small island (about nine kilometres (six miles) long and five kilometres (three miles) wide) located at the end of the Bahamas archipelago, 871 kilometres (575 miles) Southeast of Miami. An easy flight from the U.S., whilst the Dominican Republic is some 100 miles to the Southeast.

Let us not forget Princess Cay (Kee) Bahamas, the private island of Princess Cruise Lines.

So, how does this sound so far? Are you ready to experience the wonder of The Ruby Princess for yourself first hand? Well you certainly can, and with prices starting as low as $699.47 Per Person based on double occupancy, now is a really great time to experience a Princess Cruise.
