Happy Birthday United States of America
236 Years ago, a band of visionaries announced the creation of a Bold New Nation, free of British rule, wholly autonomous, and routed in the principles of the Almighty God. This did not go over too well in the eyes of the King of England, so very shortly after birth, this new kitten had to expose its claws and prove to the world that it was more than just a passing notion of what was considered to be a few rebels. With the assistance of the French, this brash and scrappy new nation rose against the oppression of English rule, and into its own. This scrappy nation became The United States of America.
Now, over the course of the past 236 years, America has had her share of challenges. From the ugly specter of slavery, into civil war, western expansion, woman's sufferege, financial depression, and the fight for civil rights just to name a few; through it all, the principle of America still prevailed. Regardless the challenges, America still rose to provide a unified front in the face of such threats as World War II, The Cold War, and most recently The War on Terrorism.
Every the land of opportunity, where anything and everything is possible, America elected her first African American President, Barack Obama, in 2008, and is primed to elect her first female President within the next few decades. Indeed, it is possible that the 46th, 47th or perhaps 48th President of the United States of America could possibly be a woman. Now that is opportunity.
Regardless of the tests, the trials, and all that others may believe is wrong, America is still, and shall always be, the epitome of freedom and democracy in the world. We, at IrSabio Travel Consultants are proud to be an American Company, and we thank God for America every single day.
Join the family of IrSabio Travel Consultants as we wish the United States of America a very happy 236th birthday.
