Profile: The Ruby Princess

This Ruby Is Ever Lasting

It has often been said that Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend. There is truth to that statement, but in the absence of diamonds, other precious gems will do the trick as well. I see that you agree. So, with the prevailing thought in mind, please allow us to tell you a little bit about the Ruby Princess cruise ship.

Built and christened in 2008, The Ruby Princess is one of the latest additions to the fine line of Cruise Ship belonging to Princess Cruise Lines, and boy is she a beauty. So, what can we tell you about The Ruby Princess? Check this out...

The Ruby Princess stands 15 decks tall, is 925 feet long, and weighs in at 113,000 tons. She, The Ruby Princess, has a total capacity of 3763 people, of which 1200 are crew. She offers one inside pool and 3 outside pools. The Ruby Princess features 1532 Staterooms, 20 of which are wheelchair accessible. The staterooms are as follows:

434 Interior Staterooms including Lido Deck Standard Interior Stateroom Featuring Two lower beds that convert to a queen-sized bed, a bathroom with shower, spacious closet, refrigerator, safe, television, radio, phone, and a hairdryer. Size: 160 sq ft.

218 Exterior (outside) Staterooms like the Lido Deck Double Ocean View Featuring Two lower beds that convert to a queen-sized bed, a picture window with partially obstructed view, bathroom with shower, spacious closet, refrigerator, safe, television, radio, phone, and a hairdryer. Size: 158 to 181 sq ft.

674 Verandas like the Ocean view with Balcony Featuring Two lower beds that convert to a queen-sized bed, a balcony, bathroom with shower, spacious closet, desk, refrigerator, safe, television, radio, phone, and a hairdryer. Size: 233 to 285 sq ft. including Balcony.

206 Stateroom Suites like the Premium Suite with Balcony. Suites with balconies are spacious, and include all the amenities of a mini suite plus incredible premiums. They have two twin beds that can be converted to a queen-sized bed, a roomy walk-in closet, vanity, bathroom with tub and separate shower stall, well as a spacious living room with sofa, armchairs, and desk. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors lead to your private balcony with seating. Each suite also has two flat-screen televisions, a DVD/CD player, refrigerator, wet bar, thermostat controlled air-conditioning, individual safe, and 24 hour room service. Special Suite Amenities: Luxury balcony furniture, deluxe canapes, fresh flowers, DVD library, one complimentary mini bar set up, complementary use of the Lotus Spa Thermal Suite, and laundry and dry cleaning services.

Pretty nice accommodations, wouldn't you say? So, now that we can check sleeping off the list, how about we take a look at some of what The Ruby Princess has to offer? Such as dining in:

The DaVinci Dining Room - Fiesta Deck: One of three main dining rooms on board, featuring intimate seating arrangements and elegant decor.

The Michelangelo Dining Room - Plaza Deck: One of three main dining rooms on board, featuring intimate seating arrangements and elegant decor.

Sabatini's - Sun Deck: Upscale Italian alternative restaurant featuring an eight-course extravaganza of seafood specialties and other trattoria favorites served up with true flair in dramatic top-deck setting. Features bird-eye ocean views and open-air dining.

Just to name a few dining options. Now where is that check list, ah here it is. Dining is checked off the list. What's that? You feel like a movie or live entertainment? Ok, how about....

The Princess Theater located on the Promenade and Fiesta decks? Or perhaps:

Movies Under The Stars - Sun and Sky Decks: Overlooking the Calypso pool, this outdoor area is perfect for daytime relaxing and has a bird's eye view of the 300-square-foot "Movies Under the Stars" LED screen.

Of course, if movies and shows are not your thing, you can always visit the Gatsby Casino located on the Fiesta Deck for the latest in Las Vegas-style casino games, including popular table games and more than 260 slot machines.

For those who simply want to "Drop It Like It's Hot" can visit Skywalkers Nightclub located on the Sky Deck for a spectacular observation lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows. After dark, it is transformed into a lively nightclub with state-of-the-art lighting, sound and video effects.

These are but a few examples of things to do while cruising on the Ruby Princess, and there is so much more. Why there is even the Heart sand Minds Wedding Chapel located on the Sun Deck for an intimate wedding chapel used for Princess' wedding-at-sea program and for renewal-of-vows ceremonies, featuring unique Internet "wedding cam" capabilities.

Ok, things to do? Check. What's next? Oh, that's right. You want to know where the Ruby Princess will be going. What if I told you such exotic destinations as:

Saint Maarten USVI: With an area of only 37 square miles, the island of St. Maarten/St. Martin is the smallest land mass in the world to be divided between two governments. Its dual owners are the Dutch and the French, who have shared the tiny and paradisical island more or less peacefully for almost 350 years. This understated absence of conflict testifies to one of the island's most precious and attractive characteristics--its unusual serenity.

St. Thomas USVI: Charlotte Amalie, capital and chief port of the Virgin Islands of the United States, on Saint Thomas Harbor, southern Saint Thomas Island. Rum, bay rum, woolens, jewelry, and sugar are exported. Local industries include boatbuilding, rum and alcohol distilling, and the production of handicrafts. A picturesque town built on three hills, Charlotte Amalie is a free port and a major tourist resort. Of special interest are Fort Christian, built in 1671; Beretta, the shopping area; and the Frenchtown section.

Grand Turk, Caicos: Grand Turk is the seat of government for the Turks and Caicos Islands, is a small island (about nine kilometres (six miles) long and five kilometres (three miles) wide) located at the end of the Bahamas archipelago, 871 kilometres (575 miles) Southeast of Miami. An easy flight from the U.S., whilst the Dominican Republic is some 100 miles to the Southeast.

Let us not forget Princess Cay (Kee) Bahamas, the private island of Princess Cruise Lines.

So, how does this sound so far? Are you ready to experience the wonder of The Ruby Princess for yourself first hand? Well you certainly can, and with prices starting as low as $699.47 Per Person based on double occupancy, now is a really great time to experience a Princess Cruise.

Thank you for listening, and remember that IrSabio Travel Consultants is a licensed representative of the Princess Cruise Lines. See, though diamonds are a girl's best friend, a Ruby is a gem that will endure forever.

Profile: Disney Cruise Lines Fantasy

What's Your Fan-ta-Sy?

Ludicris once asked the musical question "What's Your Fantasy?". Well, you can tell us later, but in the mean time, we would like to tell you a little bit about Disney Cruise Lines Newest Baby called Fantasy.

Built and christened in 2012, Fantasy is truly the baby of the Disney bunch, she took on many of the qualities of her older siblings, and still bought a style all her own. Without a doubt, Fantasy is a truly wonderful addition to the proud line a Disney Cruise Ships. So, what can we tell you about Fantasy? Well....

For starters, the basics of Fantasy are she has a total capacity of 4000 people of which 1450 are crew. Very nice, yes, very nice. Fantasy is 1115 feet long - about the size of a small aircraft carrier for you Navy folks.:)- and she weighs in at 128,000 tons. In other words, Fantasy is a Lean, Clean, Cruising Machine. Oh? I'm boring you with the specs? So, you don't care about the 2 inside and 3 outside pools? The Jacuzzi, that's like something you expect? You're like "Blah Blah Beauty Salon, blah blah"? Hmmmm, Ok, I feel you on that. So, check this out....

Fantasy offers 13 wheelchair cabins, so yes, when Disney says fun for all, they mean it. Get on Down Disney. But wait, there's more....

Fantasy may be the baby of the bunch, but she is certainly not the runt of the litter. Fantasy stands a full 14 decks tall. Oh wow, so we are talking long, lean, and tall? That makes Fantasy very sleek and sexy, like the Ferrari that mom won't let you buy..:). Yes indeed, Mickey Mouse has come a long way since the days of Steam Boat Willie. But wait, yes wait, there's more....

Let's talk about some of the staterooms like the Deluxe Family Ocean View Stateroom with Verandah located on Deck 10 and features a private verandah, private split bathroom with round tub and shower, 22" flat-screen TV, iPod docking station, refrigerator, ample closet space, safe, hairdryer, phone with voicemail, and individual climate control. Pretty nice huh? What's that? You love your kids, but you just want a get way for just you and your beloved spouse? Ok, ok, just for you Fantasy offer staterooms like the Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom like this one on Deck 9. These are just a couple of examples, there are many more staterooms to choose from. Ah, I can hear the gears turning in your mind right now. So you like the staterooms, but you wonder what else is there to do? Gee, I am so glad you asked...

Disney pride themselves on offering something for everybody and every taste. While onboard, you can visit areas such as:

The Enchanted Garden located on Deck 2: Enchanted Garden on the Disney Fantasy is a Main Dining restaurant located on Deck 2, Midship that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Inspired by the opulent gardens of Versailles, Enchanted Garden magically transforms from day to night.

The Walt Disney Theater located on Decks 3 and 4: The Walt Disney Theatre, a large-sized theatre located on Decks 3 and 4, Forward aboard the Disney Fantasy, is a lavish live-performance venue that recalls the grandeur of the dashing theatre palaces of yesteryear—providing a dramatic setting for the original, Broadway-style Disney live shows, as well as first-run and digital 3-D films.

You're the grown up, you're supposed to have a little more self control. Ah, what the heck, it's a Disney Cruise, go on, let your hair down. Like we said, Fantasy has something for every family member, young, old and points in between. For instance:

Looks like he more excited than the kids, and they are excited. Hey, it's all good because it is a Disney Cruise. Look at him high fiving the kids..:)

Well, now that know a little bit about Disney's newest baby Fantasy, allow me to tell you about some of the places She could visit during the cruise. We are talking about such exotic ports of call as:

Costa Maya: Once the Imperial Maya’s Port of Call now Puerto Costa Maya is the leader in culture and adventure travel in the Mexican Caribbean! Explore the wonders of the Mayan Coast, the incredible Great Maya Reef austounding architectural feats, endless white beaches and the mysterious sacred cities of the ancient maya. Discover for yourself the wild, unexplored beauty of the Mayan Coast.

Cozumel Mexico: The beautiful island of Cozumel, the largest inhabited island in Mexico, is a paradise for divers from all over the world. The island is surrounded by more than 25 reef formations where divers of all ages and skills can enter into a completely fascinating and different world: endless coral inhabited by immense shoals of colorful fish.

Grand Cayman Islands: Miles of powdery white beaches above clear blue water and one of the richest marine environments make Grand Cayman one of the Caribbean’s finest vacation destinations (and a world class scuba diving destination).

St Thomas USVI: Charlotte Amalie, capital and chief port of the Virgin Islands of the United States, on Saint Thomas Harbor, southern Saint Thomas Island. Rum, bay rum, woolens, jewelry, and sugar are exported. Local industries include boat building, rum and alcohol distilling, and the production of handicrafts. A picturesque town built on three hills, Charlotte Amalie is a free port and a major tourist resort.

San Juan PR: Called "La Ciudad Amurallada", San Juan was founded in 1521. In 1508 Juan Ponce de León founded the original settlement, Caparra, behind the almost land-locked harbor just to the west of the present metropolitan area. The settlement was abandoned and moved to the site of what is now called Old San Juan. San Juan is one of the biggest and best natural harbors in the Caribbean and is the second oldest city in the Americas.

And these are but a few ports which Fantasy will visit.

So, how is he doing right now? Is he still on cloud 9? Great, everybody deserves to be treated to not only a vacation, but an experience. Cruising is ultimate vacation experience. It is like taking an All-Inclusive Resort and allowing it to move from location to location. As cruise experiences go, and especially family cruise experiences, you can not go wrong with a Disney Cruise. Treat Your Children To The Magic of Disney

Experience The Magic of A Disney Cruise

Escape on a fantasy unlike anything you've imagined.

A Disney Cruise Line vacation. Here, adults find excitement and indulgence. Children have the time of their lives. And all make memories to last a lifetime. So start planning your Disney Cruise Line vacation today, and set sail on a dream.

The Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder are among the most beautiful ships at sea. This Disney cruise is designed with an art-deco style reminiscent of the great luxury liners of the early 1900's, these vessels combine the charm of old-world luxury sailing with all the technology and amenities that Disney Cruise Line is famous for. Not content to simply create another cruise line, Walt Disney World has played to their best qualities in designing these ships. An entire section of the ship dedicated to children's activities, on-board activities that cater to every personal whim, whether for families, singles, couples or seniors.

Within the past 12 months, the Disney Cruise Lines family has welcomed the addition of the brand new Disney Dream which offers experiences never like never before. Many of the Interior Staterooms feature virtual port holes where a variety of your favorite Disney Characters can be seen passing by, or even waiving at you through the port hole. No other cruise line offers this experience.

This year, God Mother Mariah Carey christened the brand new, and indeed the youngest member of the Disney Cruise Lines Family, The Beautiful Disney Fantasy. Just like most younger siblings, the Disney Fantasy picks up all of the best traits of her older sisters, and introduces a character all her own.

Although the Disney Wonder services the west coast of the United States, visiting such exotic ports of call as Hawaii and Alaska, her sisters are home ported in Port Canaveral Florida, and visit a variety of locations from the Bahamas, to the Virgin Islands, Eastern Mexico and nearly every Island of the Caribbean.

A Disney Cruise is the ultimate family experience and indeed on that will be talked about for many generations to come. If you have not experienced a Disney Cruise, now is a great time to do so. The link in this posting showcases cruises departing in September 2012, and there are several more departure dates year round. To see more departure dates, visit IrSabio Travel Consultants Cruise Section and click the Disney Cruise Lines banner.
