The Carnival Splendor Repositions East in 2013
Carnival Cruise Lines announced today their plans to transition the beautiful Carnival Splendor from her current port on the West Coast of the United States, and into a new home on the East Coast in 2013. The Carnival Miracle will transition westward to fill the space created by the departure of the Splendor.
This is awesome news for travelers of the Caribbean. The Carnival Splendor is one of the largest ships in the Carnival Cruise Lines family. Her siblings include the Carnival Dream ported in Port Canaveral, and the brand new Carnival Breeze to be ported in Miami. Indeed the Splendor would be a proud additional to the East Coast Family of Carnival Cruise Lines, and we eagerly await her arrival.
During her repositioning, the Carnival Splendor would be scheduled to visit many South American Ports of Call, and the transition will include a trip through the newly widened Panama Canal, which is a treat in and of itself.
Expect to hear more updates as they become available, and look forward to seeing posting about the cruise, including booking availability and pricing as they become available. In other words, don't touch that dial, and stay tuned.
